Eastgate Street in Chester, a most dreadfully underrated city in Cheshire England, close to the border of Wales. Chester’s four main roads- Eastgate, Northgate, Watergate, and Bridge- were laid out by the Romans almost 2,000 years ago and still traverse their original routes. Chester is also a walled city; indeed it boasts the most complete town walls in Britain, which encircle the old mediaeval boundaries.
Besides all THAT there is the jaw-dropping, eye-popping, gasp-eliciting architecture AND lots of TINY LITTLE PEOPLE and you know I love THAT. I am speaking of this photograph, obviously. I do not believe there are thousands of thumb-sized Cestrians actually abiding in Chester. But THERE MIGHT BE! It would be easy for them to hide, wouldn’t it? You might never know.
